Bethem Ainao is a 27-year-old design student at HIT Institute of Technology in Holon, Israel. Born in Ethiopia and immigrating to Israel at the age of one, she embodies a blend of Ethiopian and Israeli cultures. For her final project, she created a series of animated videos titled "Who Are You the Daughter Of?" which humorously explores the cultural conflicts she faced while planning her wedding to Li'am, a man of Polish and Yemeni descent. Through her work, Ainao aims to illustrate the challenges of merging traditions from both her Ethiopian heritage and modern Israeli society.
