Biljana Jurukovski

Biljana Jurukovski is a North Macedonian-born photographer and former manager who has spent decades living in Sydney, Australia. She gained recognition for her captivating photography of isolated African tribes, driven by a passion to document and share their cultures with the world. Transitioning from a career in aged care management, Biljana’s artistic journey began after discovering the work of English photographer Jimmy Nelson, which inspired her to explore and capture the lives of indigenous peoples. Her work has been exhibited internationally, reflecting her commitment to preserving the traditions and stories of communities often overlooked.
