Bill Ruffell
Bill Ruffell was an aircraft collector who played a pivotal role in the history of New Zealand's only active World War II Mustang. After acquiring the aircraft in the late 1950s, Ruffell intended to repurpose its engine for a speedboat, but instead, he preserved the Mustang for over 50 years until his passing in 2019.
