Bill Willard

Bill Willard, a resident of St. Catharines, Ontario, was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis, a rare autoimmune disorder that affects muscle control, shortly after his retirement in 2021. He underwent treatment with immunoglobulin, which significantly improved his symptoms, allowing him to regain his energy and quality of life. Inspired by the healthcare that helped him, Willard, along with his family, has organized blood drives for Canadian Blood Services, contributing to the growing need for plasma-derived therapies in Canada.
