Biplab Deb

Biplab Deb is an Indian politician who served as the Chief Minister of Tripura from March 2018 until May 2021. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Deb played a significant role in the party's victory in Tripura, which had been ruled by the Left for decades. His tenure was marked by efforts to improve infrastructure and economic development in the state. Recently, he was in the news for addressing a public meeting in Kolkata, which became the site of a violent clash between his supporters and those of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) over loudspeaker usage.
