Birgit Volkmann

Birgit Volkmann is a German doctor and activist who witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 as a young medical student. She played a role in the New Forum, a movement that contributed to the peaceful revolution in East Germany. After facing professional challenges in the early 1990s, she moved to Luxembourg in 1999, where she has lived for over two decades.
