Bjørn Dählie

Bjørn Dählie is a retired Norwegian cross-country skier, widely regarded as one of the greatest in the sport's history. He won a total of 8 Olympic gold medals and 9 World Championship gold medals during his illustrious career in the 1990s. Known for his exceptional endurance and technique, Dählie's achievements have set a high standard in cross-country skiing. He was the last Norwegian to win Olympic gold in the men's short distance race before Johannes Høsflot Klæbo matched his record in 2023.
