Bob Kane

Bob Kane (1915-1998) was an American comic book writer and artist, best known for co-creating the iconic superhero Batman with Bill Finger. First appearing in Detective Comics #27 in 1939, Batman quickly became a cornerstone of popular culture and one of the most enduring characters in comic book history. Kane's partnership with Finger, although not fully recognized during their time, laid the foundation for Batman's complex mythos, including his rich rogues' gallery and the gothic atmosphere of Gotham City.
