Bogdan Krotevič

Bogdan Krotevič is a former commander of the Azov battalion in Ukraine, known for his critical stance on the leadership of the Ukrainian military. After resigning from his position in February 2023, he publicly criticized the military command, particularly General Oleksander Sirski, for what he described as dangerous micromanagement of troops and orders that jeopardized soldiers' lives. Krotevič has been vocal about the need for reform within the military leadership and has highlighted issues such as the significant attrition rate among Ukrainian soldiers, attributing it to the failings of their superiors. His military service includes notable experiences such as surviving the battle of Azovstal and enduring a period of captivity at the hands of Russian forces, from which he was later released in a prisoner exchange.
