
Boško Smačkoski
Boško Smačkoski was a prominent Macedonian poet, storyteller, and playwright, born on September 18, 1938, in the village of Modrič near Ohrid. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje and began his career as a journalist at Radio Skopje. A member of the Writers' Association of Macedonia, Smačkoski published numerous works including ten poetry collections, several children's books, short stories, and novels. His notable works include the children's poetry book 'Majski zvončići' and the award-winning 'Golemi i mali'. He is particularly remembered for his song 'Gradot ubav pak će nikne', which is considered a children's anthem for Skopje. Smačkoski passed away in 1998 in Skopje, leaving behind a rich literary legacy.
