He returned to Slovenia after a successful international career in major pharmaceutical companies, including GlaxoSmithKline and Novo Nordisk, to contribute to the development of Slovenia's biotechnology sector. As the head of business development at Labena, a family-owned company, he focuses on innovative solutions and fostering a supportive ecosystem for biotech startups in the region. Boštjan is also the president of Biotech Hills, an accelerator aimed at enhancing biotechnology ventures in Slovenia and Central Europe.
