Boštjan Golob

Boštjan Golob is the current rector of the University of Nova Gorica, having taken over from the founding rector, Danilo Zavrtanik, in 2022. Under his leadership, the university, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this year, has focused on expanding its student population and enhancing its research capabilities across its six faculties and numerous research centers. Golob has emphasized the importance of developing infrastructure to support future growth and has been involved in discussions regarding the potential transformation of the university from a private to a public institution.
