Boubacar Yugo

Imam Boubacar Yugo is the president of the presidium of the Fédération des associations islamiques du Burkina (FAIB) and a prominent religious leader in Burkina Faso. Recently, he was in the news for presenting a guide on alternative discourse to the government, aimed at combating hate speech and religious radicalization. Yugo emphasized the importance of portraying the true essence of Islam, which he argues has been distorted by extremist narratives. He advocates for peace and cohesion among communities, urging Muslims and all Burkinabè to reject violence and foster a spirit of unity.
