Boudicca
Boudicca was a legendary queen of the Iceni tribe in ancient Britain who led a major uprising against the Roman occupation around AD 60-61. Following the death of her husband, King Prasutagus, Boudicca sought to protect her people’s rights and property against Roman injustices, which ultimately culminated in a fierce revolt. Though her rebellion initially achieved significant victories, including the destruction of London (then known as Londinium), it was ultimately quelled by the Romans. Boudicca is often celebrated as a symbol of resistance and female empowerment in British history.
