Brendan Eddery

Sgt. Brendan Eddery is a dedicated member of the Garda Síochána, the national police service of Ireland. He was recently in the news due to his courageous actions during a violent riot in Dublin, where he faced a mob of approximately 30 individuals. Despite the overwhelming odds, he chose to stand his ground, believing it was important to not yield to bullying and intimidation. Sgt. Eddery suffered injuries during the assault and has since been affected by nightmares and flashbacks related to the incident. He is currently seeking counseling and is considering a transition to a quieter role within the force.
