Brett Hankinson

Brett Hankinson is a former police officer who was found guilty of violating the civil rights of Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old Black woman, during a controversial no-knock raid at her home in Kentucky in 2020. Following the incident, which resulted in Taylor's death and sparked nationwide protests against racial injustice and police brutality, Hankinson faced legal repercussions, including a request from the U.S. Department of Justice for a one-day jail sentence, which he had already served. He is currently on probation for three years.
