Brian Cummings

Brian Cummings was a former rector of St Bede’s College in Christchurch, New Zealand, serving from 1990 to 2001. He faced multiple allegations of sexual abuse involving former students during his tenure, with complaints recorded in 1996, 2014, and 2023, the latter coming posthumously after his death in 2022. Despite denying the accusations during his lifetime, the Society of Mary confirmed the existence of these complaints, prompting ongoing investigations into the allegations.
