
Bronwyn Bancroft
Bronwyn Bancroft is a distinguished Aboriginal Australian artist and a prominent advocate for Indigenous representation in the arts. With a career spanning over 50 years, her vibrant artwork challenges stereotypes and promotes cultural identity. Bancroft has illustrated more than 50 books and has created public art installations that address social issues. She is also a former board member of the National Gallery of Australia and currently serves on Create NSW’s First Nations advisory board. Her recent retrospective, 'I am Gurgun', highlights her contributions to art and activism, aiming to inspire future generations.
