Bruce McKenzie
Bruce McKenzie was a British intelligence agent and a key figure in aiding Israel's military operations during a tumultuous period in the late 20th century. Born in South Africa in 1919, he served as a fighter pilot in World War II before becoming a successful farmer and businessman in Kenya. As a close ally of Israel's Mossad, McKenzie provided critical intelligence and logistical support, notably during the Entebbe operation in 1976, which freed hostages from a hijacked plane. Tragically, he lost his life in 1978 due to a bomb planted by Ugandan dictator Idi Amin as retribution for his role in the operation. His legacy is honored in Israel, where a forest was planted in his name.
