Buhutu Steven

Buhutu Steven is a 44-year-old tea farmer whose land borders a Batwa forest reserve in Uganda. He actively participates in conservation efforts by planting tea, which helps protect the mountain gorillas' habitat and supports local economies through ecotourism. Steven's engagement in gorilla protection reflects a growing recognition among local farmers of the benefits that coexistence with wildlife can bring to their communities.
