Çağla Tuğaltay was a high school student who was tragically murdered on June 5, 2000, shortly after returning home from school. Her brutal killing, which involved her throat being cut, remained unsolved for 25 years, drawing significant public attention and speculation about the identity of her assailant. Recent developments in the investigation have led authorities to initiate a comprehensive effort to match DNA samples and fingerprints found at the crime scene against records from Interpol, involving 196 countries, in hopes of finally bringing her case to resolution.
