Caiaphas

Caiaphas was a high priest in Jerusalem during the time of Jesus, known for presiding over the trial that led to Jesus' crucifixion. He is often depicted as a central antagonist in the New Testament and has been historically validated through archaeological discoveries, including an ossuary bearing his name, which contained bones dating back to the first century A.D.
