Camila Gil

Camila Gil was a celebrated Colombian DJ and activist for the LGBTI community, known for her vibrant presence in the electronic music scene. At just 29 years old, she passed away on June 5, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and authenticity. Gil was not only a talented artist who performed in various cities across Colombia and internationally, but she was also a symbol of freedom and empowerment for many in the LGBTQ+ community. Her influence extended beyond music as she was a prominent member of 'El Mariposario', a collective supporting trans women in Medellín. Despite facing health challenges, Gil continued to inspire her followers and advocate for acceptance until her untimely death.
