Canisia Lubrin

Canisia Lubrin is a Canadian poet and author of Saint Lucian descent, known for her innovative literary works that explore themes of identity, colonialism, and the legacies of slavery. Her debut novel, Code Noir, won the prestigious 2025 Carol Shields Prize for Fiction, making her the first Canadian recipient of the award.
