Carl Kellner

Carl Kellner was a German optician and the founder of the company that would become Leica Camera AG. Established in 1849, Kellner's initial focus was on microscopes, but his legacy is closely tied to the development of precision optics and the eventual creation of the Leica camera, which transformed photography.
