Carl Vilhelm Hartman

Carl Vilhelm Hartman was a Swedish anthropologist known for his explorations in Central America between 1896 and 1899. During his travels, he unearthed significant archaeological artifacts, including two indigenous stone figures in Limón, Costa Rica, which he transported back to Sweden. These figures, representing a warrior and another figure, have been housed in the Museum of Ethnography in Stockholm for nearly 125 years, serving as a testament to the region's rich pre-Columbian heritage.
