Carlo Pellegrini

Carlo Pellegrini is a former tenant of the historic Antico Caffè Greco in Rome, who has been embroiled in a seven-year legal dispute with the owner, the Israelite Hospital, regarding the café's lease. Despite court rulings and eviction notices, Pellegrini continued to operate the café, leading to a forced eviction in October 2025. He argues that the café is a cultural landmark deserving of protection and has criticized the Italian Ministry of Culture for not doing enough to safeguard it.
