Carlos Alberto Freire Neto

Carlos Alberto Freire Neto, a 35-year-old police officer with the Homicide Division of Baixada Fluminense, tragically passed away after sustaining severe injuries during a confrontation with drug traffickers in the Muquiço community of Guadalupe, Rio de Janeiro. He had joined the police force in December 2022 and had been serving in the Homicide Division since May 2023. His untimely death has elicited condolences from the State Secretary of Civil Police, highlighting the dangers faced by law enforcement in combating organized crime. Carlos leaves behind a wife and two children.
