Carlos Antonio Mendoza

Carlos Antonio Mendoza was a prominent jurist and the first secretary of justice of the Provisional Government Junta in Panama. He played a crucial role in drafting the Act of Independence for Panama, and later became the first and only Afro-Panamanian president of the Republic, symbolizing the fight for freedom and justice during the country's separation from Colombia.
