He was arrested in Medellín after being investigated for orchestrating a massive scam where he offered fake job opportunities as packers, demanding payments ranging from $340,000 to $370,000 under the guise of donations to a diocese and other humanitarian organizations. Following his capture, he was charged with aggravated fraud and had previous allegations of abuse of trust and falsification of public documents.
