Carlos Ernesto Castillo

Carlos Ernesto Castillo, also known as 'El Indio', is a 72-year-old former member of the paramilitary group Concentración Nacional Universitaria (CNU), implicated in human rights abuses during Argentina's last military dictatorship. He has been in preventive detention since December 2013, facing serious charges related to the kidnapping and murder of political opponents, and was recently in the news due to a Supreme Court ruling regarding the justification for extending preventive detention in cases of human rights violations.
