Carlos Mesa Gisbert

Carlos Mesa Gisbert is a Bolivian politician, historian, and journalist who served as the President of Bolivia from 2003 to 2005. He is the leader of the political party Comunidad Ciudadana (CC) and has been a prominent critic of the current government led by the Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS). Recently, he commented on a World Justice Project report that ranked Bolivia as the most corrupt country in Latin America, expressing that it highlighted the extreme degradation of the MAS government and the pervasive corruption that undermines the nation’s institutions.
