Runcie Tanaka's artistic journey also took him to Italy and Brazil, but his roots in Peruvian culture remained a cornerstone of his work. He established his own ceramic workshop in Lima in 1978, nurturing many students and contributing significantly to the artistic community. His works have been showcased in prestigious venues, including the MALI and the Bienal de Arte de Venecia. Runcie Tanaka passed away at the age of 67, leaving behind a rich legacy that bridged materiality and spirituality in art.
