Carlos Zavalaga

Carlos Zavalaga is a marine biologist and researcher at the Universidad Científica del Sur, known for his work on the conservation of marine biodiversity, particularly focusing on the Humboldt penguin population in Peru. He has contributed significantly to studies regarding the dynamics of colonization of these penguins in artificial structures, such as the breakwater at Pampa Melchorita, where he monitors their habitat and population trends.
