Carmel Claridge is the co-ordinator of Te Kooti o Timatanga Hou, also known as the Court of New Beginnings, a specialist court in Auckland designed to assist the homeless population with pathways to change their lives. Since its establishment in 2010, the court has received recognition for its success in reducing reoffending rates and providing support to those in need.
