Carol Orchard

Carol Orchard was the second wife of renowned British poet Ted Hughes, whom he married after the tragic death of his first wife, Sylvia Plath. Their marriage lasted until Hughes's death in 1998. Orchard's life and relationship with Hughes remained in the shadow of the intense public scrutiny surrounding Hughes's tumultuous past with Plath and the subsequent controversies that followed their lives.
