Carolina Moutela

Carolina Moutela, 27, is a volunteer and activist who has passionately advocated for the acceptance of LGBTQIA+ individuals within the Catholic Church. Growing up in a conservative environment, she faced isolation after realizing her non-heterosexual identity. Inspired by Pope Francis, who emphasized that the Church is for everyone, Carolina has worked to bridge the gap between her faith and her identity, viewing the Pope’s openness as a transformative moment for LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the Church.
