Luis Carrero Blanco was a Spanish admiral and politician who served as the Prime Minister of Spain under dictator Francisco Franco. He was assassinated by the Basque separatist group ETA in December 1973, an event that marked a significant turning point in Spanish politics and was a precursor to the eventual end of Franco's regime.
