Caspar Wüster

Caspar Wüster, a German immigrant who settled in Pennsylvania in 1717, played a significant role in the early colonization of America as one of the first German settlers in the region. He later adopted the surname Wistar and became a member of the Quaker community, which was pivotal in the development of Pennsylvania under the leadership of William Penn. Wüster's legacy continued through his descendants, including Richard Wistar, who founded the property known as 'Andorra' in Philadelphia.
