Cathy Dzerefos

Cathy Dzerefos is an environmental scientist and lecturer at the Tshwane University of Technology, recognized for her dedication to conservation efforts in the Magaliesberg region. She was recently awarded the 2025 Richard Watmough Magaliesberg Conservation Fund for her project that focuses on documenting traditional ecological knowledge and the conditions of sacred natural sites, aiming to promote environmental stewardship and sustainable practices within the community.
