Cecile La Grenade

Dame Cecile La Grenade is the Governor General of Grenada, having taken office in 2013. As a prominent figure in Grenadian politics, she has a background in academia and public service, including roles in health and education. Recently, she was in the news for granting assent to legislation that alters the Oath of Allegiance for State officials, shifting the allegiance from the British monarchy to the State of Grenada.
