César Castilla Lino

César Castilla Lino is a Peruvian-Panamanian visual artist and educator known for his innovative approach to painting, which integrates elements of science, poetry, and cultural heritage. Since the 1970s, he has explored the relationship between art and the human experience, employing a unique style that reflects his interest in non-linear perspectives and the interplay of memory and physicality. His recent works focus on abstraction and the essence of existence, using materials and techniques that emphasize spontaneity and the dynamic nature of creation. He is also dedicated to education, currently directing a free school for children at the Museo Regional de Veraguas, and was awarded the Premio Nacional de Pintura Roberto Lewis in 2016.
