Charalampos Kontoes

Charalampos Kontoes is the Research Director at the Institute of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (IAAADET) of the National Observatory of Athens. He is recognized for his expertise in remote sensing and climate studies, particularly in analyzing the hydrological systems in Greece. Recently, he highlighted the alarming water levels in the reservoirs supplying Athens, emphasizing the urgent need for monitoring and public awareness regarding the ongoing drought conditions.
