Charles Atiang' serves as the National Chairman of the Kenya Association of Sugarcane and Allied Products (KASAP). He has publicly criticized the Kenya Sugar Board and the Kenyan government for allegedly obstructing necessary reforms in the sugar sector, particularly concerning the ongoing legal disputes that hinder the election of farmers' representatives, thereby benefitting sugar cartels.
