Charles Lloyd is a legendary jazz saxophonist and composer known for his innovative approach to music that has spanned over seven decades. He gained international fame with his 1967 album 'Forest Flower: Live at Monterey' and has collaborated with prominent musicians across genres, including Keith Jarrett and the Grateful Dead. Despite his success, Lloyd took a hiatus from the music scene in the 1970s, only to re-emerge in the 1980s and continue to influence the jazz world with his creative explorations.
