Charles Maximilian von Ketelhodt

Charles Maximilian von Ketelhodt was a colonial administrator in Jamaica, serving as Custos of St. Thomas during the tumultuous period of the Morant Bay Rebellion in 1865. His actions during the uprising, including the decision to read the Riot Act, contributed to the violent escalation of the conflict, leading to significant loss of life and the subsequent imposition of martial law.
