Charles Yankah

Prof. Charles Yankah is the Director of Humanitarian Cardiac Surgery in Ghana and a leading advocate for improving access to heart surgery across Africa. He recently played a pivotal role in the inaugural Pan-African Cardiothoracic Surgery Summit, where he emphasized the urgent need for Africa to establish robust cardiothoracic surgery programs and proposed key strategies to lower the costs of heart surgery, including bulk procurement of medical supplies and early screening for cardiovascular diseases.
