Charlie Le Brun is a talented musician originally from Brittany, France, who has made a name for himself in the Irish traditional music scene. His journey began at the age of 18 when he traveled to Ireland to meet his idol, Matt Molloy, a renowned flute player from The Chieftains. After a memorable encounter at a pub in Westport, where he played a tune for Molloy, Le Brun was warmly welcomed into the vibrant Irish music community. Since then, he has lived in various parts of Ireland, including Belfast and Dublin, and has embraced Irish culture while also promoting his Breton heritage. Le Brun is known for teaching music, participating in traditional sessions, and recording albums that blend Breton and Celtic influences. He and his wife, Aoife Kelly, have settled in Kilfenora, Co Clare, where they enjoy rural life and outdoor activities.
