Charlie Montoyo is a Puerto Rican former professional baseball player and manager, notable for his tenure as the manager of the Toronto Blue Jays from 2019 until July 2022. Born on October 17, 1965, in Manatí, Puerto Rico, Montoyo had a playing career in the minor leagues before transitioning to coaching. He began his managerial career in the Tampa Bay Rays' minor league system, where he gained recognition for his ability to develop young talent.
