Charlie Stowe is a 19-year-old Australian student who is raising awareness and funds for frontotemporal dementia (FTD) by embarking on a 16-day hike from Balgowlah to Newcastle in honor of his father, Richard, who succumbed to the disease. Despite the challenges he faced after his father's early onset dementia diagnosis, Charlie excelled academically, becoming dux of his grade, and plans to pursue law and environmental management at university.
